Folding Kiddie Kick Scooter Color PINK

Calling the future generation of scooter riders! Now little ones who’ve been envying the big kids’ Razor scooters have one they can call their own. With the Folding Kiddie Kick, Razor has made riding a scooter fun and easy for children six and under. The scooter’s stand-aline, three wheel design makes for a more stable ride and the super slip-resisitant deck keeps kids on their little toes. The new folding mechanism makes it easy to take along to grandma’s or the park. They’re sure to enjoy the fun colors too.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Good starter scooter
I bought this scooter for my 3 year old so he would have a good quality first scooter that also looked like his older brother’s Razor scooter. The first one that arrived in the mail had the plastic around the wheels broken off so we had to return it. The second one arrived and has been fine ever since but I worry about all the plastic. With a boy riding it (and one already arriving broken), I wonder how long the plastic will hold up. Considering the regular Razors are all metal, I’m not sure why the base and unerside has so much plastic on it. That’s my only complaint. Otherwise, it’s a great first scooter.

3 Stars Fancy but not functional
It surely is a fancy scooter I’ve ever seen.

But it was too slow and even risky (handle bar) for my 3 yr old boy.

Shipping was delayed, and the logo on the handle bar was printed on the back, and my boy kept asking me which way the handle was supposed to go.

2 Stars Doesn’t glide but good stability
We got the Razor Jr scooter for our 3 1/2 year old. You have to constantly kick to keep moving - it never glides like a classic Razor scooter. If you are looking for the stability of the 3 wheels with the glide of a classic Razor try the Mini Kick Scooter by Micro Mobility for around $75. If your kid is fairly coordinated and can balance then just get the classic Razor Scooter A.

5 Stars My grandson Jake
Jake thanks you for the many hours of funds he already enjoyed riding his razor. I thank you for a prompt delivery.

4 Stars all good
Its really good, little one likes it a lot. I just wish it was little bit cheaper to deserve 5 stars.

Razor A5 Lux Scooter

Every child will love the Razor A5 Scooter. It has an extra long, wide deck.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Adults should have scooters, too!
We recently bought my 3 1/2 year old daughter lots of toys with wheels such as a bike and a Razor A scooter. The novelty of running along beside her as she scoots/rides her bike soon wore off - then I found the Razor A5 Lux Scooter and I think I am having more fun than she is now! The ride is so smooth and it glides for days. A must have for any adult who would rather glide with their kid rather than run after their kid. A great way to teach kids how to ride scooters, too, since you are modeling the activity for the kid. And lastly, families that scoot together stay together! The A5 Lux is a total blast!

4 Stars Pretty good, but try this..
I too have been scooting around the streets of NY city for the last 5-6 years. I too have tried the Xootr and the Viza Kikit Air (replacing the wheels with Trikke 7 wheels which you can get at some online Trikke shop based in Tampa Fl). Although a bit fiddlier to open and lock into place I would actually give the Viza Kikit Air a better build rating and a slightly longer platform. It rides very low to the ground even with the 7″ trikke wheels and the braking is superb. (It comes with air filled wheels which are very nice to ride on but take too much of the forward momentum away from the ride. You are better off with solid wheels.)

A word about braking. Don’t kid yourself, the brakes on this and the Viza Kikit Air are much, much safer because you put your weight over the back wheel to slow it. With the GoPed and Xootr the brakes do very efficiently stop the front wheel and right over the top you go. Try that going 20mph on 8th Ave as a car pulls out in front of you unexpectedly.

This is the design you want. The question is whether you want to spend $60 on a Viza Kikit Air and then another $40 on Trikke 7 wheels or if you want to go with this. For me the slightly longer platform and the better build of the Viza Kikit Air made it the better option even with the fiddly double lock and the wheel swap out.

5 Stars “Big Boy Scooter”
I have ridden both the regular (small wheel) Razor Scooter and the big wheel (A5 Lux) scooter. I am 64 years old and weight 165 pounds. The A5 Lux is a heaver scooter and a much smoother riding scooter. But, it is not so heavy that you can not do tricks on it, such as, “bunny hop”, “curb hop,” “tail swing” “180 degree hop” and other various jumps that you can do on the small wheel scooters. (I am still working on the “360″.)

It is a great cruiser for longer rides and it seems to be faster than the small wheeled scooters. The younger folks (i.e. 8 to 13 year olds) such as my grand kids can do all the same tricks on the A5 Lux as they can do on their small wheeled models.

I would highly recommend the A5 Lux for “kids” of all ages who just want to have fun!!!!!

4 Stars Good little cheap adult scooter
I ordered this scooter directly from the manufacturer. It took about a week for me to get it. I am completely satisfied with my purchase based on price and quality for the price. For the price, this is the best scooter you can get(for the price) This review is based upon initial impression and only one day of riding. The number ratings are based solely on my opinion and not on a scientific comparison.

Rider size:

5′10″

175lbs

age 37

Male

Quality:

I feel the quality of this Razor scooter is really pretty good. There is a spring loaded pin built into the frame near the steering neck that you pull up to unfold/fold the scooter into and out of riding position that unlocks/locks two other pins into a very sturdy bracket. Once locked into riding position the scooter is very sturdy, or at least as sturdy as could be for a little kick scooter. I don’t want to go into detail about weld quality because I have no way to scientifically stress the joints to see what happens. The Razor A5 feels very solid at all times without any rattles. (7 out of 10)

Speed:

uh, you can go pretty fast on this. Probably faster than is really prudent down hills on such a device. The large 200mm wheels have very little friction and while I won’t say they “glide” over bumps, they do a much better job than the standard, tiny kick scooter wheels on the kids scooters. I haven’t done a face plant or been in danger of that but you can definitely feel the bumps. (9 out of 10)

Handling,

Really pretty simple, and easy handling. It gets a little jittery at higher speeds just because of the size of the dick front to back. Not unsafe, but for a 37 year old man, not the most comfortable. I will give this a 6 or 7 out of 10 for handling at high speed. It doesn’t get higher marks because the deck is shorter. With a longer deck, it should be more stable at speed. (6 out of 10)

Fold ability:

Excellent. Couldn’t be better in my mind. The pin design is excellent. Well built and solid. (9 out of 10)

Weight:

Very light. I weighed mine on an old analog meat scale at 9 pounds on the dot. (9 out of 10)

Comfort of riding:

Well, here is where I talk about the draw backs of a narrow, short deck. I would say the deck is a little narrower and shorter than I would like. The deck width is 4.5 inches which isn’t wide enough to really accommodate both feet. If you put your one foot all the way to the front of the deck and a little on the front frame, you can turn your back foot to the side and place it behind your front foot. It takes some skill to switch kick feet. A wider, longer deck would be better in this case. My feet are small for my size, so a normal size foot would be cramped (5 out of 10)

The brakes:

This would a flawm but for the price, I don’t know what one could expect. The brake is engaged by stepping on a spring loaded back fender that applies pressure directly to the outside surface of the back wheel. It doesn’t so much stop you as slow you down. It is a little awkward holding one foot on the back fender and standing on one foot going down hills. I would have liked even a rear hand brake better. (2 out of 10)

Summary:

For the price, I don’t think you can go wrong. If money isn’t and object, I would go for the highly rated Xootr products. I would like a wider, longer deck and hand brake, but the fold ability of this scooter is actually better than the much pricier Xootr brand. The spring loaded folding/lock pin is fantastic engineering and good quality.

When you get the scooter read the simple instructions that come with it and adjust the set screw in the folding mechanism. It will insure a jitter free, solid ride.

For what I want this for, I am not willing to spend upwards of 200.00, so I feel I got my money worth on this purchase. I am not dissatisfied in any respect.(7 out of 10)

5 Stars Value wins here.
I purchased the A5Lux after drooling over the xootr. I needed something to get me around New Haven sidewalks and my roller blades would get caught up on cracks n such. A co-worker has the xootr and I feel in love until I saw the price tag. Normally I’d have sprung for it because I loved it that much but wasn’t in a position to do so. I saw the A5Lux, read the reviews and decided for the price, I couldn’t go wrong and if it turned out to be less than I expected, I could just pass it down to my kids. I love love love it. It is a little shakey and if you make that front allen screw adjustment, it makes folding and unfolding the unit very difficult.. although it makes it nice and solid. I find the back brake sufficient for slowing and the big wheels awesome for gaping sidewalk cracks. I’ve seen the xootr and it is indeed a nice unit but for the value here, it’s a no-brainer. I’m considering getting a second to keep at home too.
