Razor A3 Kick Scooter Blue Clear or Red

The original kick scooter just got a whole lot better, making it even more fun for kids and teens alike. Though it’ll never replace the internal combustion engine, the Razor A3 will get your child from point A to point B much quicker than on foot alone, and requires just a few scoots of one’s shoes in the process. Plus, it’s a blast to use, as your progeny will likely attest.

The Razor A3 is made of aircraft-grade aluminum, a sturdy material that holds up to use and abuse through the years. Razor combined the traditional aluminum construction, however, with a number of recent innovations, including a springless shock-absorbing system that makes bumpy pavement feel smoother than ever and an all-new wheelie bar that guarantees an extra dollop of fun. Add in such details as 98 mm urethane wheels, ABEC-5 high-speed bearings, a patented rear fender brake, and a patented folding mechanism and you have a great kick scooter for virtually any situation.

This version of the Razor A3, which supports up to 143 pounds and is recommended for ages 6 and older. It’s also backed by a six-month warranty. For the next step up, try the Razor Pro.

Key Features:

  • For riders ages 6 and older
  • Sturdy aluminum construction
  • Springless shock-absorbing system
  • Rear fender brake
  • ABEC-5 high-speed bearings
  • Patented folding mechanism
  • 143-pound user weight capacity
  • Six-month warranty

5 Stars Great service & Fast shipping.

We ordered this for our granddaughter and she loves it, she had an older one and it didn’t last. This one is much steader and is much bigger. This is so good for her she is so pleased with it and rides it alot even in the house when she tries to get away with it. The color is great for her as well she was glad we got that color.

5 Stars Fun for kids and adults
I bought this for my daughter’s 9th birthday and she loves it. I have also had quite a bit of fun riding it around myself! Great product!

5 Stars My 2 year old son loves this scooter!!
My 2 1/2 son was always taking our neighbors scooter to ride. We decided to buy him one so the other boy could have his back! My son got so good on it that the balancing helped him ride a 2-wheel bike with no training wheels. He tries to copy the other kids and do jumps, it is so cute. So if my 2 year old can ride it, I give this product an A++!!

5 Stars scooter review
bought this for my son,he loves it,rides very well,amazon.com had the best price and the best shipping!

5 Stars Awesome scooter
I bought this for my daughter’s 9th birthday. It replaces her older Barbie scooter, which although it was a good scooter, was pretty young looking. This is a big step up in quality and appearance, but is still fine for the younger ages. She is plenty big enough for it and didn’t have any issues with it. I rode it a bit also and was happy that it’s handlebars are adjustable enough for an adult or child. The wheels seem a little larger on this than on my other daughter’s Razor. And the green color is really popular here. It rides very smooth and folds up nicely. When unfolded, all parts lock into position for a secure ride. Great product.

3 Stars Bad Wheels?
It’s a nice scooter; it rides well and is very fast. Not quite a xootr, but great for the price. However, the wheels that come with this thing is already starting to crack and fall apart. The front and back wheel already have big chunks of the wheel that fell off. The wheel makes a funny sound now when I ride. There are other cracks and it looks like other half-inch pieces of polyurethane is about to fall off. If this happens to the wheels in one week, it might be cheaper to just go with the xootr as I will be paying a lot of money to replace the wheel. I am around 150 lbs so am well below the 175 lbs limit on this. Otherwise, it’s a good scooter; I just wish they had harder or more durable wheels (I ride in NYC).

4 Stars Heavier, more solid scooter for bigger people
I bought this model of Razor to keep up with my kids. They have the standard original “A” models, which are low to the ground and relatively light in overall weight. The cruiser is heavier (maybe by @30%) and higher off the ground than the original. The larger wheels give it a somewhat smoother ride (although this could be attributed to it’s spanking-new wheels). The deck is covered entirely with an anti-skid layer — which is nice. Unlike other reviewers, I have no problem with it’s “low” handlebars (and I’m 5′ 11″). Plus, the deck board is “warped” by design, I assume, so that when you step on it, it flexes to a nearly-flat surface. Otherwise the deck would sag if it started in a perfectly horizontal position. Oh, and my kids can handle this too, even my 48-pound seven year old. The only drawbacks I can see with the wooden deck are the eventual dings and chips along the edge from curbs and such and the possiblility of moisture weakening the plywood over time. Probably need to keep this one out of the rain.

5 Stars Great scooter for kids, too!
I bought this scooter for my son’s 5th birthday. It looked large in the box, and my husband immediately took it out and rode it around the house - WOW! It is smooth and fast and fun. I was worried that it might be too big for my 34 lb 5 year old, as it was his first 2 wheeled scooter, but he was up and going immediately! This is great at the park - he can coast along the sidewalk forever without even kicking. The large platform is easy for him to balance on and the large wheels easily go over large sidewalk cracks and he even rode on some of the packed down winter grass! The handle bar easily adjusts up and down so my son and husband could take turns. I believe this to be the BEST scooter out there for riding!

5 Stars Great scooter by Razon, great buy from Amazon
My son really is enjoying his Razor Wood Kick. It ha larger wheels than the traditional razor and wood board (platform) instead of metal for some added flexibility. The platform is a wider than a traditional razor and offers some flex for tricks and jumping. Shipping and costs were great and the items arrived within a week with the lowest cost shipping option.

Two Thumbs Up!

4 Stars Great scooter, just too short for adults over 5′9″
I got this scooter to save me a few mins walking to the bus station.

I read one reviewer on here saying that the handlebars are too low for anyone over 5′6″. I’m 5′11″ but decided to give it a try anyway.

I have to agree that the handlebars are too low for most adults. I would say 5′9″ is the limit. The Razor Pro scooter has handle bars that are 3″ higher, and I think that would be good for people up to 6′ tall.

As for the wood deck, that same reviewer said it came warped. The deck is bowed, but that is a part of the design. The deck will flex when you stand on it, so it was designed to bow upwards to compensate for the flex. The flex on the deck does make the ride smoother by helping to absorb some of the bumps. But I feel this flex also makes the ride feel less stable. Personally, I would prefer a solid metal deck.

Overall, the scooter is well made and I would highly recommend it to anyone under 5′9″

5 Stars My grandson Jake
Jake thanks you for the many hours of funds he already enjoyed riding his razor. I thank you for a prompt delivery.

3 Stars Fancy but not functional
It surely is a fancy scooter I’ve ever seen.

But it was too slow and even risky (handle bar) for my 3 yr old boy.

Shipping was delayed, and the logo on the handle bar was printed on the back, and my boy kept asking me which way the handle was supposed to go.

4 Stars all good
Its really good, little one likes it a lot. I just wish it was little bit cheaper to deserve 5 stars.

2 Stars Doesn’t glide but good stability
We got the Razor Jr scooter for our 3 1/2 year old. You have to constantly kick to keep moving - it never glides like a classic Razor scooter. If you are looking for the stability of the 3 wheels with the glide of a classic Razor try the Mini Kick Scooter by Micro Mobility for around $75. If your kid is fairly coordinated and can balance then just get the classic Razor Scooter A.

4 Stars Good starter scooter
I bought this scooter for my 3 year old so he would have a good quality first scooter that also looked like his older brother’s Razor scooter. The first one that arrived in the mail had the plastic around the wheels broken off so we had to return it. The second one arrived and has been fine ever since but I worry about all the plastic. With a boy riding it (and one already arriving broken), I wonder how long the plastic will hold up. Considering the regular Razors are all metal, I’m not sure why the base and unerside has so much plastic on it. That’s my only complaint. Otherwise, it’s a great first scooter.

5 Stars Just what we wanted
This is exactly the product we wanted for our kids. I bought a blue one for my son too. Happy with the fact that it is adjustable so they can grow into it and it doesn’t take up a lot of space.

It is a little bit difficult for my kids (ages 6 and 8) to fold up on their own though.

Definitely worth the money though, as they get lots of use. Now if only we could little bags to put them for when they get on the bus.

4 Stars My son loves it !
I got the scooter for my 5 year son for his birthday and he just loves it. It is sturdy and stable.

Only con: A little tricky to fold and unfold it.

4 Stars Great fun
Easy to put together and the kids love it. Wish it had a way to prop it up when not in use. Otherewise - great product.

5 Stars Durable & fun!
Our grandson was very happy with the Razor when he received it for his birthday - 9 years old. It is strongly made, not cheaply made. Great exercise & he wants to take it everywhere. It’s very compact & can be made even smaller for transporting.

5 Stars Razor scooter review
Hello! I received the product in damaged and opened packaging. I do understand that this can happen in transport. However, in all my ordering time this is the first time receiving something in this condition. The actual product box was also banged up but the scooter itself is OK. I use it to keep up with my kids and it takes me down the path just fine. I do love the ease and convience of Amazon!

Razor RipStik Ripster

Do more tricks with this new light weight design. Inclined caster trucks and pivoting deck provide a snowboard-like carving ability. Unique design allows acceleration and turning without pushing. Concave deck for increased foot control. Urethane wheels and ABEC-5 bearings for a smooth ride.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Ripstik Rocks!
I bought this to help my kids grasp the balancing concept of riding a snowboard. They love it! PLEASE make sure you spend the extra 20 bucks and buy complete pads for your kids- wrist and elbow pads especially. It can be a very dangerous toy at first until one gets the hang of it.

5 Stars Ripster or other one?
We were unsure what kind of board we will buy for our son. (8years old) At the end we decided to buy the ripster. I am very happy that we went with it. The WAVE or Ripstik are bigger. Especially the Wave (Street Surfing) board is very hard und big. The Ripster is very flexible and smooth to ride. We allready bought a second one to have even more fun.

5 Stars Great little ride
If you like the regular RipStik, you’ll love the Ripster.

It’s lighter so it’s easier to carry. It has a shorter wheelbase so it’s

way more maneuverable. End result…more fun with less effort.

4 Stars WoW, this is great
Sent this to my grandson, age nine. The report was, Mom , this kid loves this skate board. He watched the DVD, put on protective gear, and took off. He’s the envy of every kid in the neighborhood. What a happy nan I was.

5 Stars Awesome Riding Toy
We purchased the Ripster for my son’s 6th birthday and he loves it. He prefers it over all other riding toys. It rides very nicely and is quiet. The size is great for a young kid. It takes a little while to get the hang of it but once they do, it is great. I bought this same red Ripster at Big Lots for $49. I have also seen them at toy stores and sporting good shops for MUCH cheaper than the $170+ price currently listed on this web site. Beware of this VERY high price. You can get this toy for half the price (or even less).
