5 Stars Fantastic!
the Kelty 3.0 is just fantastic! I purchased it for an upcoming vacation in the Adirondacks where my husband and I want to take our baby hiking with us. He is 8months old and sometimes we take him for walks in it, instead of using the stroller. It’s a new view for him, he’s high up like we are, and in this, he isn’t in the ’sitting’ position, so it’s a nice change for him in that way too. It’s totally cmfortable for him and for us too. My husband is 6.2′ and I’m 5′2, and it’s completely and easily adjustable.

5 Stars great for my 8 month old!
arrived 3 days Less then the estimated delivery date stated! My baby fits perfectly and loves riding with the sun/rain shade on! He is one to kick his socks off so an enclosed bottom collects anything he drops. great padding. feels weightless. a lot of adjustment straps will Ensure a good fit. i started with everything large/loose and figured out my fit perfectly one notch at a time. Since there are going to be 2 of us using the backpack, I took a whiteout marker and marked my preferred Holes to make the switching easier! wonderfully padded for baby and even has a drool guard!

4 Stars Great Unit, but takes some getting used to.
I love this pack, but the first two/three times I used this to carry my 20lbs son, it felt a bit wobbly. The pictures in the ownern’s manual are a bit 1-dimensional so it took some looking at the picture, then back at the pack, and so forth. All in all, it is a great pack and worth every penny we spent. I wouldn’t recommend carrying more than just your child, unless you are used to carrying heavy packs around.

4 Stars Great Product, Bad Service
So I love this backpack and would tell other parents to purchase it. However, I did have trouble with Amazon over my purchase. They sent me the pack “new” but it was missing the hood cover; I bought it on sale and they wanted me to return the item and purchase a new one at the additional cost or they wanted me to keep it and they would give me back 24.00 of my purchase. To make a long story short I had to contact Kelty and they finally helped me out with it by sending me a new cover free of charge. I recommend if you buy this item to purchase it from a company other than Amazon since they were not helpful to me.

5 Stars Easy to put on, and it stays put.
Let’s first remind ourselves that this item is made by Kelty, one of the premier manufacturers of outdoor gear. If they put their name on it, surely it is a quality item - and it is.

I have a 73lb lab/Weimaraner mix (with identical build to a typical Weim) and the medium fits her perfectly, albeit on the snugger side of the adjustment range. I read other reviews and they complain about difficulty in preventing the pack from sliding over their head on downhills or when they drop their head, but I’ve yet to have that problem. We have hiked several times and been on OHV excursions several others, where she has carried her own supplies and some of my own, as well.

The harness system on the Kelty is one of the better designs out there, with the Y-yolk and chest pad for optimum comfort and security. The pack slips on easy, and is buckled in at two points under the chest.

Overall, an excellent product (durable, waterproof, comfortable, and practical) from the venerable brand Kelty, at a very competitive price. Strongly recommended.

Great backpack for the money. I have a 40 lbs english springer spaniel and a small fits just fine. Good quality pack! Only gripe is that the pack needs to be filled evenly so it doesn’t slide to one side.

5 Stars Great Pack!
Just got the pack for my 2 year old, 70 lb, yellow lab. We tried it out today with a couple of water bottles and its great. She walked right by my side and even walked past the bad neighbor dogs without too much issue. It was like her brain was otherwise engaged! The padding is perfect for dogs with sensitive skin, and the straps ensure a perfect fit. I bought the medium size and its great for her, she’s on the slight side and a younger dog. This will even the playing field for us on long walks and help give her a purpose! The pack is really well made & looks very durable. Looking forward to using it all over.

5 Stars First Impressions
Before purchasing this product, I read every review I could regarding sizing and worried and fretted about whether I was getting the right one for my dog. I finally purchased the medium for my Akita (granted, he’s a runt of an Akita, only about 70 lb.) and it fits perfectly! Some other reviews have talked about the belly strap being too long, but it fits fine on him. No problems. I have yet to really get to test it’s durability, but it seems very well constructed. Much higher quality than the last backpack we used on him. Before, we had an Outdoor Hound Excursion backpack which was literally falling apart at the seams after only a couple of months of use. The Kelty also more properly places the backpack further up on the shoulders rather than on the back of the dog, which is much healthier in the long run. I’ll probably review it again when I see how it stands up to the punishment my dog will no doubt deal out.

seems like a great pack so far and has far more capacity than she will ever use. She ran with it, tromped through snow. however, the sizing is difficult. her chest size and length is large because she’s a lab. where the belly strap hangs (south of her big rib cage) she’s probably a medium or small. we have the strap as short as it will go and without enough weight in the pack, it still slides to one side or the other.

5 Stars Super Comfy…Super Warm
Very good bag for the money. My girlfriend and I just used this on a fall camping trip in Northern Minnesota. Temps got down into the low 30’s, kept us both warm, not so much as a chill. Highly recommended.

4 Stars Just right.
I am very happy with this bag. We have a tent trailer, it provided enough warmth in the Tetons and Yellowstone during July’s cool nights. It also provided some extra padding for an extremely hard mattress with plenty of room for snuggling. My only gripe is I wish it had pockets.

5 Stars Very comfortable sleeping bag
This was a very comfortable sleeping bag. Used it in 20 degrees in a tent and it kept both of us very warm. It was comfortable and very cozy bag. It has a zipper on both sides so you don’t have to wake the other person up trying to get out of the sleeping bag. It also has two pull ties on each side on the bottom and top to pull help to bunch up the top or bottom to bring the top and bottom edges of the bad closer to you to keep you warm. The lower part that extends past the normal part of the sleeping bag can be used as a pillow if needed. If not it fits a normal size pillow very nicely and holds it in once place. There is a also a snap on the middle top half of the sleeping bag with a loop on the back to bring up the back on to the snap for additional warmth on bringing the bag closer to you on those really cold nights. Over all I was very worried about a double bag and being cold. I brought additional blankets not trusting such a big bag. But this sleeping bad was better then I could have ever hoped and did not even use the additional blankets. It comes with a big bag to for storage looks like a mini seabag. If you can’t get the bag rerolled it stuffs very nicely back in the bag.

4 Stars Great sleeping bag for car camping
This bag works out great for couples who like to go car camping. It’s very warm and very roomy. It’s also nice to have the hood cinch up like a single mummy bag. The hood is also good for providing a nice place to put a pillow and keep it off the floor.

The only drawback is that with the big opening at the top it can be a little drafty, negating the warmth of the thickness of the bag. Also, it’s waaaay to big to carry with you while backpacking. When stuffed in its sack, it’s about the size of a large garbage bag. This is fine for car camping, but unsuitable for carrying it any real distance.

Purchased for my grandson to protect those knees and elbows when he’s on his skateboard. They’ve done the job so far. Nice product.

They fit both my small 8 year-old and 5 year-old grandkids nicely. They seemed to be well-padded and fit for the job of pprotecting their skinny joints. Price was right. They both liked the looks, and stood about posturing their superpowers.

5 Stars Great Bike Knee & Elbow Pads
This was a great purchase. My 9 year old son just got his first BMX type bike and kept falling. These pads fit nice and tight, but have plenty of room to adjust and grow with him. The gel padding has protected him through many more falls. Great price too!

4 Stars Good For Kids Only
Unless you are an adult the size and weight of an average 10 year old girl, don’t buy these for yourself. Luckily, I have a kid who can use them since they were too small for me. However, they are well constructed and she seems very comfortable wearing them for several hours at a time. They haven’t been tested in an actual scootering fall yet, but by looking at them I am fairly certain they can take quite a hit and keep elbows and kneecaps from serious impact damage. At least I hope so. Also they are very cool to look at being deep black with orange buttons.

5 Stars Best Vollyball system I’ve ever owned!!!!
Easy to install and works as advertised. I was a bit skeptical about the sturdiness of the vollyball posts (no guy wires and no digging holes with cement) but once you insert the ground plate into the ground (with a 10″ spike welded to the plate) and then drive the 24″ aluminum spike through the plate’s collar, the posts become extremely solid. The net was easy to put up and overall installation was about 15 minutes. Make sure you set up the rope perimeter first!!! This will allow for minor adjustments before you start driving the spikes. Also, the rope perimeter provides the correct distance for width of net (plates are to be installed 20″ in from rope perimeter.

Some concerns:

The instructions for installation are poor. There is a metal piece that fits over the 24″ aluminum spike that is used while driving the spikes into the ground. I found this out afterwards.

The directions call for a large hammer — Better to use a sledge!!! Also, make sure you don’t drive the stake even with the plate’s collar. The picture is not really clear but the stake should remain about 1″ above the collar.

Overall — the design and quality far exceed the poor directions. We have been using the vollyball system for about 3 weeks and love it!!! 5 stars to no guy wires!!!

5 Stars Awesome volleyball set!
We’ve been through several volleyballs sets over the years; they all end up trashed in no time, and the net never is as tight as you want it to be. The Mongoose set is the best portable set we’ve had! And no guy wires! The directions do have a bit to be desired, but once you figure it out, it’s awesome. Highly recommended.
