5 Stars Great Inexpensive Bike!!
It’s been about a month since I purchased my Schwinn Coronado and I’m loving it. Due to the high price of gas I’m now riding my new Schwinn Coronado 14 miles back and forth to work on a light gravel bike trail (It’s also very comfortable road performing bike). The bike was delivered to me packaged with care and with a total cost of less than $240 for the bike (which included the free shipping) how can you go wrong. So far, so good… I’m a happy Amazon / Schwinn customer.

5 Stars Nice Bike
I ordered the bike on Monday and requested the next day shipping offer, which stated the bike would arrive on Tuesday. It did not. It did come the next day. My husband was out of town, so I set out assemble it by myself. (I am an older lady with no special experience in assembling bicycles.) The bicycle appeared to be in good shape, no bent or scratched items and all the parts were there. However, the white reflector for the front and the red reflector for the back had already been attached and the attachments for both were broken. What took the longest was my digging through my husband’s tool box trying to find something that would work since he did not have an allen wrench the right size. The instructions were written for a multitude of bicycles. It was a little confusing which instructions that I should use. It would have been helpful if they had included a sheet on my bike, just saying “This is the bike you have, this is what it has. When assembing the handle bars refer to Handle bar Instructions #1 B. When assembing the front wheel refer to Front Wheel Assembley instructions #3 A, etc.” In reality you get an instruction book that says “To assemble the handle bars, do steps 1, 2 and 3. Just as you are processing those instructions, the next line reads “Some models have a so-in-so, in which case you have to do this-and-that.” Which makes you have to evaluate your bike to determine just what you have and which instructions to use. This was the case with the handle bars, the seat, and the front wheel. At any rate, after getting it unpacked I was making my first trip arownd the yard in about and hour and a half. It seems very comfortable and was very easy to pedal, even accross the grass. It should be a breeze on a paved bike path, even for a little old lady who has not ridden a bicycle in over 40 years.

4 Stars Happy with purchase
I’ve been enjoying this bike for about a month now. Well-made, light-weight and comfortable - great for the price I paid of 219.99 + free shipping. The assembly was not too bad considering I’ve never assembled or worked on a bike before. I was able to adjust the brakes and shifting fairly easily as well. The bike is also pretty to look at! I did end up changing the seat to something a bit more comfortable. But my daughter was happy to have the seat for her Schwinn.

5 Stars Comfort bike is a good name for this model.
At first I thought that this bike was too easy to ride and I feared that this would interfer with my fitness routine. However, after getting used to this comfort, I became completely spoiled. While I would never ride it too roughly, it is a wonderful bike for buzzing around town and for beginning riders. Indeed, for the past three months I rode it back and forth to work and did not even break a sweat. I love the wider seat and shock system, which really cuts down on tail bone pain and other physiological consequences of bike riding. Also, changing the tire tube was extremely easy, and I could quickly switch back and forth between my racing tires and the road tires.

Too bad someone completely trashed my bike– which has me completely bummed. I guess I learned a lesson– be sure to chain both tires when leaving it outside and bring it inside when possible. While the clamp on tires are easy to maintain, they are also easy to steal– someone even stole one of my gears. As a result I had to buy a new bike, and boy I wish I could have this bike back.

4 Stars Solid Schwinn
I found the bike easy to assemble, although the instructions were generic to various Schwinns. I had to provide the Allen wrenches necessary for the assembly. The brakes needed adjusting, but I was able to do that myself without much trouble at all. An attractive, comfortable bike that is a good weight and has handlebars that allow for a little more upright riding, more comfortable for the back. Only complaint is the comfort seat, which is not as comfy as the one on my husband’s Schwinn.

3 Stars OK, but consider buying at a bricks/mortar store
This bike was purchased for my four year old daughter. She was thrilled with the colors. The bike is a strudy build and a nice design. I imagine she will outgrow it before we have any issues from wear and tear. The packing for shipping did not hold up particularly well and the bike suffered some superficial scratches and a busted reflector as a result. I discovered this two days before giving the bike to her and replaced the damaged part from a local bike store. As several reviewers noted, the instructions that came with the bike were generic and borderline worthless. Nonetheless, I figured it out (which is saying a lot since I am personally worthless when it comes to putting together kids toys). I am not unhappy with the purchase and my daughter loves the bike, but even for someone who buys everything online, I will probably buy my next bike at the local bike or a Toys R Us store to avoid the issues with shipping and assembly.

4 Stars great little girl bike
This bike is great for my little girl. She is four years old and she rides it everyday some times for and hour. she will be able to use it for years to come. The only complaints i have are the directions were useless and, when the box was delivred the box was ripped in a few places and the bike had about 8 or 9 big chips on it. So i was very unhappy with amazon.com with the way it was damaged. The last thing a little girl wants on her brithday is a pink bike with chips all over it.

4 Stars good bike
daughter loves her new bike…the hand breaks are a lil tough but with use she can wear them in….overall easy to put together and she is really enjoying her new ride

4 Stars bike
This is a nice bike, However the seat and the handel bars are hard to lock into place. Our 3 1/2 year old loves it.

5 Stars Schwinn Jasmine Girl’s 16-Inch Bike
Very pretty and sturdy little bike! The box it came in was banged up like crazy but the bike itself was alright. The only problem in assembling it was getting the front brake to adjust properly. I had to spend a lot of time re-adjusting the cable to get it to grip the front tire rim correctly. And be sure to remove one of the front brake pads before trying to put on the front tire, so that tire assembly will not be a struggle. Then be sure to remember to put the brake pad back on.

This is one good little bike! I love the idea that my 6 year old has old-fashioned peddle brakes as well as front hand brakes. The training wheels were a breeze to put on, and are very good quality. I would buy this bike again. I expect it to last for years but too bad my kids will eventually outgrow it. I wish they made this bike in my size! (Hmmmm…maybe they do, I’ll have to check!)

4 Stars Great Purchase!
We got this bike for our son’s 3rd birthday. It was very easy to assemble and is quite sturdy. He is tall for his age so we wanted a bike that would last him for a while but also be something he could ride right now. At the lowest seat position his feet just touch the pedals and he wasn’t used to coaster brakes but with just a little practice he is able to cruise around on it without problem. We are very pleased with our purchase.

5 Stars bicycle from Baby Age
I am very pleased with the bicycle. Baby Age shipped pretty promptly and the item was received in excellent condition.

5 Stars great bike!
I bought this bike as a present for my 5 years old son. He started riding it right away. Easy to assemble, good quality, easy to ride. Down side- too heavy for him to carry, you will have to help to bring it in and out of house

4 Stars Great bike
My son loves this bike! It wasn’t the easiest to put together though. The directions were pretty hard to understand. But it’s worth it when I see the look on my 4 yr old’s face.

4 Stars Mongoose Amplifier 16 inch boys bike
Very nice bike. Thought it might be too big for our 4 year old but we took the reflector off the seat bar, in order to be able to put the seat all the way down, and he fits it fine!! It dosent have a kick stand but other than that it is a very nice bike!!

3 Stars Nice bike, needed repairs out of the box. Mongoose support poor, Amazon good.
Initially the bike was very nice, delivery quick. Upon assembly (if you are not mechanically inclined make sure you have help) it was discovered that Mongoose has poor quality control. Both wheel are wobbly (poor lateral run out) and they rub the brake pads once every rotation unless the brakes are adjusted out to there maximum. If you get any mud or dirt on the wheels they rub and slow you down considerably.

I called Mongoose and they said they would send me two new wheels, and a couple of other small parts I noticed defective. I received the small parts, but no wheels. I have been told that the wheels are on back order, and they do not know when they will be getting them. Oh well, they did say they would give me $12 per wheel to have them straightened at a bike store for now.

I contacted Amazon and was told that I can bring the bike to get repaired and that Amazon will pay the bill. I have not done this yet because I have not had the time. (The reason I ordered a bike on line in the first place was to save time.)

My son loved the bike initially. We rode some trails and the bike performed okay. The front suspension is an improvement over a static front fork, however do not expect high end (or even mid range) performance. It is a kids bike at a low price. A good starter off road bike to get a kid interested. My son lost some of his enthusiasm since the bike needs repairs. Once fixed I am sure all will be well.

At this point I feel it may have been easier to buy a bike locally. The $20-$30 lower price from Amazon does not replace the care I would have received from a local shop.

2 Stars It is OK for a 10 year old
My 10 year old boy picked this bike out because it was blue. It isn’t a bad bike but it had and has some problems. First the wheels were out of round and wobbled. I managed to straighten them our enough so they would not rub on the brakes by adjusting the spokes. they are still out of round but not too bad. Second the click shifter isn’t quite right its not always in the right gear and makes noise. I adjusted it but cant get it quite right. He loves the bike, but the bike should work better.

5 Stars Mongoose Bike for 9 yr old
AWESOME BIKE: I was able to assemble this bike in 30 min, everything went together easy. The colors are really cool for a 9yr old, my son loves the bike. He was inbetween a 20 in and 24in, this bike is just a little big for him this year but with the seat all the way down he rides it with ease. As we all know kids continue to grow. Perfect bike for a 9 yr old.

5 Stars Just What an 11 Year Old Needs
Looked around online. This was a good choice. Went together easily and adjusted easily. Very good price/value. Good Quality. Didn’t disappoint (it was his BIG birthday present).

Pro: Has a kickstand

Con: No lugs for a water bottle

4 Stars Good bike value
I bought this bike for my 9 year old son. I wanted something rugged for the abuse 9 yr old boys tend to dish out but I also wanted him to have gears so he could ride with me when I go longer distances.

In the bike market there are cheap steel bikes at the big box stores, or the high end light weight bikes at the bike stores. I know if i went to the bike stores I would find what I want for $350+. Hard to justify the money since he will outgrow this in two years. I took a chance on this and it seems to fit somewhere in between the high and stores and the big box stores.

The frame is aluminum, which is a plus for weight, but the bike does not seem to be a light as the best bikes at a bike store. Anyway, it is still better than some of the junk I see in the low end stores. The bike requires light assembly of the handle bars and the front wheel and it could have taken only took 15 minutes from unpacking to riding. The minor problem I had was a loose rear brake cable clamp. I had to reset and tighten this cable, fairly minor to those who are familiar with bikes. The shifters and brakes seem of medium quality, they are Shimano probably their lower end stuff. They shift well out of the box, but I think over time they will need some adjusting. The most important thing I notice is that my son does use the gears, therefore they must be acceptable to him. I observe him while we ride and notice he quickly became familiar with the appropriate gears for the terrain as we rode, that was what I wanted from this purchase.

Overall , I would definitely recommend this bike to anyone looking for a good bike at a decent price.
