4 Stars Great deal, great quality
The tricord is a great product. It comes with a DVD workout video. My wife wanted to find resistence bands for light workouts and some of the other products out there only had one handle for 3 bands. These bands all have their own handles with three different resistence: light, medium, heavy. Great for a nice quick little workout.

My only gripe is that certain exercises on the DVD require you to wrap the bands around your hand to increase resistence, but the bands are too short in some exercises or too long in others. Minor gripe.

1 Star Don’t Buy This!!!
I am a relatively active and healthy runner, 36 at the time of using this. The deep knee lunges actually were the catalyst for a knee injury that has lasted a year. DO NOT DO THESE EXERCISES. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT unless you want to injure your knee(s).

Isokinetics Balance Ball Chair with Choice of 52cm Ball and a Pump

Isokinetics Balance Ball Chair with Choice of 52cm Ball and a Pump

Isokinetics Ball Chairs are the same chairs sold by others, only at a manufacturer direct price. No middleman means no need to pay more! And, we provide all of our chairs with a 1 year guarantee. As an additional bonus, we provide an exclusive exercise ball measuring tape that takes the guesswork out of inflating your ball. Sitting on an exercise ball while at home or work promotes flexibility, coordination, motor skills, core strengthening, and balance. Your body, when positioned on top of an exercise ball, is constantly making small adjustments, often imperceptible, to remain balanced and thus is constantly exercising a large group of muscles in doing so. By strengthening your body’s core muscle group you help improve your posture, have better balance and guard against back injuries. It may take time before your body becomes accustom to sitting on an exercise ball, since your core muscles may not have gotten much exercise previously. Start by using it 10 to 15 minutes a day and gradually work your way up. If you have had back problems or injuries, make sure to consult your physician or therapist first. Note: We provide a small pump for free for you to have a way to inflate your ball. However, exercise balls require a lot of air and it will take a lot of pumping with the free pump. So, you may want to consider purchasing at this time a high volume air pump, especially if you use exercise balls a lot or have other things you often inflate, like pool toys or air mattresses.

4 Stars Not the best chair in the world, but your butt doesn’t go numb!
Not a lot to it. It’s a ball chair… nothing more, nothing less. Keeps good posture, light and compact.

5 Stars balance ball chair

You never know…ya’ might just start seeing these chairs rolling around in gyms soon…Isokinetics Balance Ball Chair - with Choice of 52cm Ball and a Pump

3 Stars ball chair
I received the ball chair very quickly. It works “OK.” The biggest issue I had with it was that it took forever to inflate the ball and the locks on the chair constantly lock even if you have in the unlock postion. Other then that it serves its purpose. I do still find that I slouch in it - and the back rest does nothing.

4 Stars Everything is true
I purchased this chair about 4 months ago. Everything written about the chair is true, both good and bad. The chair is comfortable but not for long stretches of time. Your butt starts to hurt after about 1/2 hour. The chair moves easily and smoothly but is does creak. I am about 260 so I am assuming that the excess weight causes the creaking. I do feel that my core has been strengthened due to using the chair. My back hurts less and my posture is better.

Overall I would say that the chair is worth the price. For me, I can live with the negative features.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Surprisingly difficult and easy at the same time!
OK, I received this last week. I’ve done the workout twice. I exercise pretty regularly now 4 times a week. I couldn’t get through the 20 minute workout without stopping. I like the flowing movement of the workout, Michelle’s cuing is not the best, but the moves are pretty easy, its that darn kettlebell that makes you sweat! Definitely felt the soreness the next day, but in a good way. I will incorporate these workouts into my rotation. I’m looking forward to doing the longer workout soon.

4 Stars Good workout with a light weight
I’ve only recently discovered kettlebells, and am quite in love with them now.

Kettlenetics is not quite real kettlebell training, but instead is a fusion between kettlebells and dance. If you’re looking for the hardcore kettlebell training, you aren’t going to find it here.

However, if you’re looking for a workout that will move your body, get you using muscles that you haven’t necessarily used before, rev your heart rate up, and make you feel good afterwards, this will do all of the above.

The kbell is small, only 4 pounds, much smaller than the kettlebells that I use in my regular kettlebell training, but it works for the moves that Michelle Kai has developed. The flowing graceful dance moves just would not work with an 18lb, 26lb, or even larger kettlebell. The size of this small kettlebell gives you enough resistance to help you with good form in the movements, without putting too much strain on you, especially if you aren’t used to working with a kettlebell, which is intensely different than any other kind of weight training.

3 Stars Excellent DVD, Poor Equipment
This is my first Amazon product review, so bear with me.

I ordered the Gaiam Kettlenetics Slim and Tone Kit based on the previous reviewers’ opinions. The kit arrived promptly and without any damage to the package, so kudos to Amazon.

I was completely surprised when I opened the box and discovered that the kettlebell was a tiny 4 pound thing that I can barely hold in one of my XL hands. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. The kettlebell is pictured on the box, held by the instructor. There’s nothing to indicate that the handle is incredibly small! Or that this kit is intended for women only.

Luckily, I was able to adapt by substituting one of my dumbbells for all of the workouts on the DVD. Each workout is excellent - well lit, plenty of good camera angles, and the instructor is very helpful, explaining not only the fundamentals of the kettlebell workout, but the reasons why you’re doing all of the various movements. She’s exactly right in her approach. I never felt like a beginner, even though this is my first experience with kettlebells.

My advise is to try and find the DVD sold seperatly and buy a larger kettlebell, especially if you have big hands. If your glove size is XL/XXL, buy a bigger kettlebell seperately. I can’t emphasize this enough.

3 Stars love this workout
The only reason this rated 3stars is because the program I purchased from Amazon is not the same as the one in the infomercial. This only came with 2 DVD’s and did not include the wall chart. Would have sent back to amazon but they would probably kept part of my money due to the fact that I opened the sealed DVD case. That’s how I found out there were only 2 Dvd’s. I did find the whole program as advertised in infomercial for $38 on Qvc. I will always check there first in the future. Other than that I have to say that these workouts are the best. Great cardio and resistance all in one, love it.

5 Stars Good workout
I thought I would give it a try, it was only $37.00 so I figured I wouldn’t be out much if I didn’t like it. I was skeptical about the low weight - 4lbs? What is that going to do? The first time I did the 20 min basics workout I could barely finish it! I didn’t realize I was that out of shape! It’s a lot of continuous movement, especially squats! It also works the arms, shoulders & abs. It really gets your heart rate up! My legs/thighs (inner, gluts, hamstrings) were sore for the next couple days after the first couple workouts. I’ve been doing it 3 times a week for about a month. It’s a great workout out and I have suggested it to friends. I’ll give it another month or 2 before I try the 40 min workout or even consider going up in weight!

1 Star Not What I Was Expecting
When I was reviewing my order online it looked great, even had a 97% rating. When I got the work out ball the pump was missing the needle and the whole on the ball to pump it up was also missing a piece. No matter what I tried there was no way I could pump up the ball, so this was just a waste of money.

5 Stars Great at home exercise.
This ball and video were a great way to get a trimming work out without having to go all the way to the gym on days with little motivation.

2 Stars Deflated before we got a chance to use it
This was a disappointing purchase because the ball deflated before we had a chance to even try it out. We don’t know how it happened but there was a small cut on the side so it’s anything but durable. When I called the Firm’s customer service to report the problem, they said they couldn’t help me, that I’d have to call Amazon because I didn’t buy the ball from them directly. All I wanted was a patch but, again, they couldn’t help me. Amazon came through as always, providing a return label and a complete refund. I would recommend buying a real physio gymnic ball as we’ve had one for eight years by SkillBuilders and it still looks like new.

    5 Stars Solid, durable product.
I bought this ball to use as a chair, and I’ve been very pleased with it. I’m a big guy in a house that frequently has a lot of kids, and the ball has held up extremely well to heavy usage.

5 Stars Makes a great chair
I use this as my desk chair at my computer at home. My back feels much better since I made the switch. And it is easy to take a quick stretch break while you are working.

    User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Nice but too small
This might be a nice size to work out with but I wanted one to use as a chair for my desk. This one was too small. 75cm is what I needed. Fully inflated, this ball comes up to a little under my knee.

This ball has a nice silver color (a bit duller in person than the picture).

It comes with a small hand pump which is a workout in itself.

The ball does have a bad smell that is failry strong for a few days. After that, it is fine.

4 Stars Sitting on it as I write this!
I got sick and my therapist recommended I get one of these for two reasons. 1, to do exercises with and 2, to sit on at work. After buying it, I never really used this particular model for exercises, since I my therapist always had their own…from experience though these things make a lot of exercises harder, and I’ve become a fan of using them to strengthen your abs and your other core muscles.

I took this one to work and sit on it like a chair. It is not really comfortable enough to sit on full time, so I keep my office chair nearby and usually switch after about 4 hours. Sitting on it does improve your posture and seems to really help your core strength as well since you can’t slough down and lean on anything like a chair back.

Per other reviews. Mine might have smelled like vinyl when I first got it, but that quickly faded. Yes, the pump that is included sucks, and worse off there isn’t a standard hole on it so you can’t use a regular pump to inflate it. This isn’t too big of a problem since you only really inflate it once and it holds the air pretty well. Also, according to another review regarding slow leaks…mine has never had any leaks. I inflated it at home and actually carried it to work I think I had to re-inflate it once and that was more to get comfortable with it and haven’t had to pump it up since over the last couple of months.

    5 Stars Great Product!
This is a great product. It has helped me increase my situps and improve my abs tremendously.

2 Stars Hate to burst your bubble, but.. . .
I was using this as a seat at my computer desk, and unfortunately, it got a slow leak within a week.

Pumping it up again did not help, though it is possible I simply received a defective item, or my [persnickety] cat took out its aggression on this ball while I was away.

That being said, I CAN tell you that using it as a seat will offer you a good core and stability exercise. I was enjoying the subtle, but constant workout of my abs and lower back, which is why I was so disappointed when it deflated.

3 Stars holds air fine, but smelly and not round
The included pump is a joke if you want to get this thing inflated out of the box. I used my bike floor pump and it still took forever. But hopefully it’s something you only need to do once.

The ball I got is not round, and may explain why some folks complain that it’s not the advertised size. It may well be the advertised size on one axis, but not another.

I’ve had this thing airing out in the garage for weeks now and it still wreaks of the plastic/vinyl/whatever smell such that I can’t stand having it in the house long enough to actually use it. The smell is subsiding though, so maybe in another few weeks I can bring it inside.
