5 Stars Pierre - RS 800 CX Multi
Excellent. A lot of things to set up. I didn’t have time to stop to reading the manual ! If they sold it in paper brochure maybe could help reading at living room or others rooms while resting for instances.

But seriously tremendous stuff I really loved and I longed for studyng more and use to improve my exercices. The shoes and GPS sensors work very well, the Polar Pro trainner software is amazing.

4 Stars The Good and Bad of Polar GPS G3 and RS800CX
Polar RS800CX Multi Sport Heart Rate Monitor Watch with G3 GPS Sensor W.I.N.D.I have had the Polar 625X for a number of years. The 625X product really has not changed but it works very well. Changing to RS800CX was pretty easy as a result, but of not a Polar user need to read manual and get the many features. Since I like to mountain bike, run, and/or road ride (Triathlons) I needed something that would give me HRM data as well as the other data from the 625x that I like to see. The 625X only had a foot pod for pace and a special bike adapter for biking. So I liked the Altitude, speed, pace, HR data, and HRM zones but so many devices. What I really like about the RS800CX:

- I can use on all bikes and running without special equipment everywhere.

- The look and feel of the watch so I can wear it all the time it fits under work shirt sleeves. I had to take the big and unstylish 625x on and off all the time since it was unsightly and bulky.

- The GPS unit turns on and quickly acquires signal. Also strap built very well.

To exercise you just turn on GPS, start your watch and forget about all of it until you want to check your pace or HR zone. The flashing heart in your custom training zone 1-5 is very helpful in the display. Like most watches exercising and flipping through screens can be be a challenge. As is finding a balance between viewability and the amount of data that can be displayed on the small screen and in big letters. Increase the screen size too much and you have a computer that can’t be worn all the time and as a result is likely to be forgotten for many workouts (some Garmins). I am not sure of the balance has been struck on the Polar RS800CX but I was able to see most of what I wanted to see without an issue and was able to flip through screens during the workout to see pace, HR and a few other data.

After exercise I just pointed the watch at the Infrared device and load my exercises into the excellent Polar 5 software. I can then analyze graphically and with data the zones and how my workout fit my goals. Some people have complained about the GPS not integrating with mapping etc. I really don’t want that feature so if you do you have to go to Garmin or other device - I think. This watch is about valuable data and not fancy GPS mapping features. And that is coming from a real gadget geek. I really like the software and Polar is a great HRM company from my experience. I would guess but don’t know that Garmin with its roots in GPS would provide a more comprehensive GPS feature set. Your choice will depend on your needs and interests.

Well, I will amend later if I come up with anything else useful.

4 Stars Sharp color
Color matches nicely with my son’s scooter and had extra pads in order to fit more kids (nice). Does scratch easily, but nothing my kids actually “use” looks like new for very long.

5 Stars Excellent Helmet
We bought this for our 9-yr old son to wear with his electric Razor scooter, pogo stick, and skate board. He already is use to wearing a bike helmet and a downhill ski helmet. We are trying to get him use to safety equipment as we progress to rock climbing, kayak, mountain biking, etc. This helmet is sturdy and well-made. It was easy to fit, although it only comes with two interior pads to use in the overall adjustment; one pad is thicker than the other. The pads stay in place with velcro. It sits very well on his head and stays in place. The chin strap probably has too much stapping, so I ended up rolling the extra and taping it. The straps are anchored at the sides; as far as I can tell they do not interconnect from one side (ear area) to another. This means the side with the receptor part of the clasp is limited in its adjustment, but I can’t imagine this to be an issue. Overall, an excellent product: sturdy, easy-to-fit, large coverage, cool color.

5 Stars Great for Razor or skateboarding
This helmet is light weight but very durable. The straps and cushion inside are very good. Good buy for the price. For those buying it for use with the Razor electric. The blue matches the exact blue color of the ES300 model.

2 Stars Color Coating Chipping Away
I bought the satin pink color Razor for my grand daughter. She is not careless with her sports equipment. I am very disappointed that after only a few months, the color coating on the helmet is chipping off in dime size hunks.

4 Stars Nice hat!
I was hesitant about buying this because my son will just be 4 when he is able to use it, but it turns out that it is not too big. It is a little oversized, but I’m sure that not only will he grow into it quickly, but it will be a helmet that he can wear for a long time. The velcro pads inside the helmet (for adjusting the fit-pads - if you need them) were not glued on very well, but your own bottle of super glue can quickly fix that.

5 Stars Great for grandson
Thankfully so far, this helmet hasn’t been put to the “crash test” yet, but it fits comfortably on his head and makes his mom and myself feel much more secure about his safety while he’s on his skateboard.

4 Stars Razor Child V-17 Helmet
Customer support at http://www.kentbicycles.com was very helpful in sorting through which model of V-17 helmet is for children 5+ (small shell) and which is for children 8+ (medium shell). The children 5+ small one is the one reviewed here and was only available online at the time of this purchase. The model number is 97780. If you want the small one be sure it has this model number as opposed to 97778 which is the bigger one for 8+ years old.

My son is almost 5 and still this helmet was pretty loose on him. It comes with two foam inserts, one is slightly thicker than the other. However, they are not meant to be used both at the same time. We have to use them both (safety pinned in) to make it snug. I wish this helmet came with inserts that were desinged to be added to the existing foam to make it tighter instead of designed to use one insert or the other. I later saw another 5+ helmet (may have been a Tony Hawk one) at Toys R Us that had much thicker foam padding and fit him tighter.

Still he loves the helmet and it looks sharp on him. It is of high quality in my opinion.

Razor Skater Multi Sport Helmet and Pad Combo Set

Razor Skater Multi Sport Helmet and Pad Combo Set

A great package for BMX biking, skateboarding, inline skating, or any other sport that requires protective headgear, this Razor Skater Multi-Sport combo set includes a helmet, two knee pads, and two elbow pads. The 17 vents keep your head cool at all times and the side release buckles make it a breeze to adjust and fasten your chin strap.

Whatever your sport, this rugged Razor helmet and pad set will keep you confidently protected.

The ergonomically designed padding provides the perfect individual fit to guarantee comfort; it also comes with an additional sizing pad. The helmet complies with US Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) safety standard.

The knee and elbow pads feature foam cushioning to absorb impact, hard ABS plastic caps for maximum protection from spills, moisture wicking interior, and hook and loop fastened straps to keep pads securely in place. Use only mild soap and water to clean the helmet, straps, and pads.

Fitting a Helmet
Always wear a helmet low in the front to protect the forehead. The front and rear straps should join at a point slightly below and in front of the ears. Always wear the helmet with the chin strap buckle fastened and the strap pulled tight. Make sure the strap is well back against the throat, not on the point of the chin. Straps worn in the point of the chin increase the chance of the helmet coming off in an accident.

2 Stars Razor helmet and pad SET
This says it is suppose to be a combo set with knee pads and elbow pads and all my grandchildren got it the pgk. was the helmet.I triedto get a hold of you to tell you and never got a response. Very dissapointed. Now my grandkids don’t have the knee pads and elbow pads they need to wear.

what to do??

2 Stars Buy pads separately!
The pads that come in this combo are pretty much worthless. The velcro closure is rather small making adjustments limited. Thus they slip and slide a lot. One of the pads ripped from its rivet on the first day with no abuse. The first time my son fell the strap for one of the pad nearly ripped all the way through. These pads might provide protection if you fall over while standing still, but I would recommend getting some thing more durable if you really want to protect your kid. I would have given a one star rating but the helmet is pretty good.

5 Stars Handy to have
I got these for my 8 y/o for Christmas. I got him a bike ramp and a ripstick so I figured he could use these to keep from getting hurt too bad. Delivered quickly and as ordered

4 Stars great helmet
My son loves his helmet and gear very good and fits comfortably, only thing is the knee pads are too tight.

4 Stars Great & Sturdy!!
I loved it and so did my 5 yr old son. Good & Sturdy and I feel good that my son is safe while riding his razor!
