The unisex Timex Midsize Orange Ironman Sleek iControl Watch transmits signals seamlessly to your ipod. Simply connect the included receiver into your iPod and you can control your music in a heartbeat. Designed to work with your body and coordinate with your iPod or with your iPhone (in airplane mode), the iControl watch is sleek and comfortable to wear. This watch is compatible with iPod 5th generation (video); iPod Nano 2nd generation (aluminum) 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB; iPod 5th generation (video) 60GB and 80GB; iPod Nano 1st generation 1GB, 2GB, 4GB; and the iphone. By using the buttons surrounding the dial face, you can easily adjust your iPod’s volume, use track forward or reverse to select your song, and play or pause your music.

The digital-gray dial face with its Indiglo night-light offsets the orange and silver-tone bezel, and the case, which is made of durable resin, measures 41.5 millimeters. A resin band and buckle clasp ensure a steadfast fit. For further practicality, a day-date-and-month calendar is also included, and the watch can be adjusted for three time zones. Other features include a 50-lap memory, three alarms, a countdown timer, two interval timers, and a chronograph function. This sophisticated timepiece is powered by digital-quartz movement, is water resistant to 330 feet, and is backed by a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty.

3 Stars wrong color
I ordered an orange watch and received a black one, but it still functions nicely.

2 Stars Bought for IPOD function
I purchase the product. It was shipped timely, but the IPOD receiver does not work in any of my IPOD’s. I have two Nano’s -one 8GB and the other 4GB (older one) and the IPOD does not recognize the receiver. Will see what seller proposes to do…Otherwise, the watch works fine. It’s the usual Timex functions. I’ve had it only a couple days.

5 Stars Can’t go wrong (updated)!
(((Update: Everything below is true, but the watch stopped controling my ipod after a month. This may not happen to you, but felt I needed to update my review. The watch still works fine.)))

I paid $40 for this cool looking watch, and it does all it supposed to, and it looks great. The ipod function is fantastic and works better than I had hoped. Changing songs and volume while at the gym was always a pain; it’s so easy from the watch!

I was also happy that there’s nothing to do to set it up. Just plug the wireless gizmo into your ipod and it’s set, nothing else to do.

I like the light too. It lights the numbers instead of the background.

The band has a cool locking thing too. I can’t explain it (or don’t feel like it), but I like it.

4 Stars So Far So Good
Bought this item for my girlfriend who runs 15+ miles a week. She has a full sized ipod and always runs with it. She loves the watch and says it works great and that she uses it throughout her run to adjust volume levels or skip forward if a song comes on she doesn’t like. Plus, it’s a great stop watch so she can keep good times for her runs. Product came via standard shipping very quickly. So far, so good!

4 Stars Timex Orange Watch
Watch was exactly what I was looking for in terms of color, a little big for my wrist is the only problem. I don’t really have a use for the iPod thing, so I haven’t tried it out yet. If I was going to fiddle with my watch to change songs, I may as well press the button on my iPod.

PTI Schwinn 12 Function Computer

The folks at Schwinn obviously know a thing or two about bike accessories and this 12-function instrument should come in handy for anyone looking to use their biking time for something other than a pleasant pedal around the neighborhood. Attach it to your bike or hold it on the attached cord and get information on your speed, average speed, maximum speed, trip distance, odometer readings, total distance, ride time, and more. Bearing in mind that it’s hard to push a lot of buttons while biking, the device features a single button control panel, allowing you to get the right information while still staying upright on the bike. –Charlie Williams

2 Stars works.. but horrible display
If all you do is ride mid-day this thing will work fine.

But if you ever wear polarized sunglasses or ride any time dear dusk or dawn, the horribly cheap polarization on the LCD display will make this thing unreadable.

5 Stars Great little gadget
I just bought mine a couple days ago at a local WalMart, for a wee bit more than it costs here on Amazon — I didn’t plan well and needed it quick. Set it up in 5-10 minutes max, it seemed to work fine. Gotta be patient to put the magnet as close to the sensor as possible without touching, though. That is the only “time consuming” part of the setup. The owner’s manual lists a few wheel sizes and the corresponding C factor that you have to enter in the computer, and fortunately mine (26 x 2) was there, so I didn’t even have to mess with measuring tape and calculator.

Today I had my first ride with it, and it performed great for such an inexpensive product. I rode to the soccer field, which is exactly 5 miles from my place (as measured on Google maps and by car). Lo and behold, the little computer measured exactly 5 miles when I got there. I was impressed. It gives the current, average, and maximum speeds, odometer and trip meter, the riding time, and has a regular watch. It tells you whether you’re speeding up or down, and whether you are currently above or below your average speed. The ONLY thing I miss on this unit is a thermometer. It’s perfect apart from that.

If I wasn’t in a hurry, I would have bought the 17-function Schwinn one that is here on Amazon, since it costs a little less than I paid for the 12-function one and measures temperature — although I don’t know how accurate that is in direct sunlight anyway. I don’t care for measures of calories and stuff like that, since I don’t believe the manufacturers know my metabolism.

1 Star Schwin Bike computer
She only used it 2 times by the 3 time it would not register any speed or any distance she had been. Thank you

5 Stars Best Value bicycle speedometer.
I’ve had one of these for about six months and just ordered another from Amazon. This little computer is accurate, reliable and easy to use.

The display shows your speed in large letters and has a selectable smaller readout for whatever function you choose. I wind up having it show speed and time all the time. If you’re satisfied with a simple, cheap speedometer and only occasionally use the other functions, this is the one.

Here are some hints that fairly eliminate most of the small complaints.

1. Install the magnet close to the wheel’s hub and adjust it (twist the sensor in) so that the magnet passes as close as possible without touching.

2. Remove the computer when the bike is not in use. It has a quick release; store it inside or in your pocket and the battery will last.

3. Leaving it outside in direct sunlight may cause a dark splotch on the screen. This is normal for led displays, and goes away in a few seconds. Also see hint #2.

4. Read the manual to learn how to reset it (which buttons to hold down), and to calibrate it for your wheel size.

The only issues I’ve had: the buttons will eventually get some “play” if you use them a lot and become contrary, and I need to be careful to secure it firmly in the quick release mount (so that it doesn’t fall out when I hit a bump).

5 Stars Great for the price
The only problem with it is its in KM/Hr instead of Miles/Hr, otherwise, for the price, it works great.
