I really liked this product. It’s very user friendly. I would recommend it to anyone.

5 Stars i always wear my polar heart rate monitor when i work out.
hello!!! well, i purchased a polar heart rate monitor when i was pregnant with my first child. my doctor suggested that i do not exceed my heart rate over 140 when pregnant, so i bought one just to make sure i knew when to slow it down. its been 6 years and i finally had to purchase a second one because i made the mistake of changing my own battery on my original heart rate monitor. it worked beautifully until i took it swimming last week. i have become accustomed to working out with it because it gives me my target zone on how hard my heart should be pumping, along with the time. I just purchased the F6 model, which also give you a calorie counter, which is an added bonus. i highly recommend this watch to anyone who is wanting to get back into shape, who has flat lined on their workout, who is an athlete, or someone that just wants to track their fitness. it is worth every penny! there are times when i have gone months without working out and then get back in the gym to find out truly how hard my heart is working. a month later, that same workout will result in my heart beating much slower, which means i am getting back into shape! its not what the scale says, its how hard you workout and how quickly you recover. i love the calorie counter too because it allows me to see how much i have burned in that particular session. this is for everyone. buy it and you will see what i am talking about. the watch is slick enough too to wear for everyday, not just for working out. i am relatively small boned and its nice that the watch doesn’t overpower my wrist like the older version did. only downside? you need to send it to an authorized polar dealer to change the battery, which only lasts about 1 1/2 years. and they get you on the price…i hope you like it as much i have have enjoyed my 2 watches!!!!

1 Star Quite often, it doesn’t work correctly
I get really frustrated with this product, because every workout I have problems with it. I will jog, and the monitor will say that my heart rate is 38 (When it works properly, it will say that my heart rate is 168-180 when jogging). Once I did a five minute warm up of cardio (jumping jacks, jump rope, jogging in place, high kicks, etc.) and looked at my watch, and it had zeroed out and said that in those 5 minutes of cardio I had only burned 9 calories. It is REALLY frustrating. The battery is fine, so I don’t know what the problem is. I wish it would work properly, because I love knowing where my heart rate is and how many calories I’m burning, and I love tracking my fitness. I don’t know what’s going on with this product. It’s driving my crazy.

4 Stars Polar F6
Received the item 5 weeks ago. So far working fine. Ordered it through Amazon thinking the annual shipping membership with Amazon helps by ordering from Amazon. At the end of ordering process realized that additional $8+ shipping payment is required as the item is not directly from Amazon. On top of it, unlike Amazon’s prompt shipping; it took about/over a week to receive the poduct.

4 Stars A good purchase
I’ve had this watch for about a month now, and I use it 3-4 times per week. This is my first heart rate monitor, and I wanted one that would just give me a better calculation of my calorie burn and time in target heart rate zone. This product does both of those very well.

I haven’t had any problems getting the monitor to read my heart rate. When I read some of the other reviews, I was a little worried about not being able to replace the battery on the chest strap. Now, I don’t really see that as a big problem. By the time the battery goes out, I’ll probably be ready to “step up” to a better model with more features.

I was pleasantly surprised that I can upload my workout information to the polar Web site. Their site is pretty basic, but it helps you keep track of your weekly and monthly progress.

The documentation that came with the product could have been better, but, between the insert and the web site, I figured it out.

Bottom line: Seems like a very good entry heart rate monitor.

4 Stars Great basic heart rate monitor
I have been wanting a good heart rate monitor for some time simply because I didn’t trust what the built-in monitor on my treadmill was telling me. This is a great basic monitor! Easy to use and program. Have only got to use it a few weeks so far and the reading seem to be right on. The alarm also helps you keep track of when you fall in or out of your heart rate zone, and the backlight is good for using at night or a dark room. If being an athlete is your job then you may want to look into some of the other Polar models, but if you are doing everyday cardio activities to stay in shape, this monitor is a good start.

4 Stars Simple and works well
This Polar set up is simple to use and work very well during my workouts. The chest strap is simple to hook and unhook and fits around my 52″ chest adjusted all the way out. Happy with the purchase.

5 Stars Rob C.
Easy to set, easy to read, and with one button to press it couldn’t be simpler. Highly recommended.

5 Stars The basic best but bigger than looks & an annoying feature.
The Polar hart monitors are unquestionably the best on the market, comfortable, rugged, and even waterproof for the aquatic minded. This is a good choice basic model that I purchased for a teenage daughter starting track. It looks dainty in the ad but it totally covers her wrist and I was dissapointed that it’s just too big for a woman to wear as an attractive wrist watch. It has an optional auditory alarm when out of your zone that beats inanely & annoyingly when your HR is below or above your selected target range. My daughter always turns it off and it has been the gratest dissapointment in comparison with my ancient model that beeped in synchrony with my actual individual hartbeats when I was IN my zone. I could hear missed or double hartbeats, but all importantly I could synchronize my running cadence to my hartbeat for improved efficiency where the contracting large muscles aid circulation in synch with the hart contractions. Absence of that basic feature replaced by silence when in zone and by very annoying innane beeping when out has been a great dissapointment and a step back in the design of this equisite instrument.

5 Stars Great Present!
I bought this for my dad for Christmas. He loves it. He is at beginner level for working out, but is using this to increase his effort. He calls me regularly to tell me how much he loves this watch.

5 Stars Great watch
I love my new watch! The functions are easy to use, the design is sporty and it really is waterproof. The plastic (resin) strap is comfortable and does not stick to your skin. I’ve had many timex watches over the years and I have been consistently satisfied with their products.

4 Stars It doesn’t have 12 preset timers
This is a fine watch, but it is not as described on either amazon.com or timex.com.

The watch is described as having 12 preset timers. It does not. It only has 10. The 15 and 30 second preset timers are missing from this watch.

I bought a similar wathch from timex.com and ran into the same problem. I even checked local store and many of the Timex watches say they have 12 preset timers but they only have 12.

Timex has a problem.

5 Stars Skip the Podiatrist, Says My Podiatrist!
My podiatrist told me he would have 75% fewer clients if everyone wore Brooks Beasts. These are the best shoes for folks with flat feet and heavy pronation. At first they feel clunky and look big, but you soon get used to it once you realize that your feet don’t hurt anymore! I walked Disney for three straight days in these and never complained, but yet a few hours in trendy shoes and I wince the next morning. I wish Brooks made athletic cleats, I would buy those too.

Money very well spent, and I will never buy any other brand of running shoe but Brooks.

5 Stars Great Shoes
This is my third pair, I am a 6 foot 5 250 lb college 2 sport varsity division 1 athlete. I have flat feet and a herniated disk. I will buy another pair once these ones wear out. They are on the pricy side though and are very big.
